Our Wellness Story
Originating as a purely occupational health company founded by physicians, our organization was, and still is, of service to an array of clients from a variety of industries who are seeking guidance on an assortment of health related challenges.
Our company has always been medically driven, yet holistic in approach. This has allowed our clients to trust the information and programs we deliver, and for this reason, the requests for wellness programming grew. Out of this demand came an entirely separate, but integrated branch of our business: Apex Wellness.
At Apex Wellness, we are committed to developing customized wellness programming for each of our clients. We address their specific objectives and deliver solutions that are proactive in approach rather than reactive to incidents. Our Team
Apex is a physician-owned company whose team is comprised of wellness experts and health care professionals— industrial hygienists, safety professionals, occupational health nurses, case manages, kinesiologists, ergonomists, fitness trainers, corporate health and wellness experts and occupational surveillance technicians.
We have the experience and dedication to create wellness programs that gain momentum quickly and keep it. Our approach is effective because we integrate all of our backgrounds and expertise to create robust, customized programs.

In 1986, Dr. Friars started a unique office-based practice that integrated with inpatient hospital care. In 2002, he created an occupational health company focused on delivering the highest quality, cost-effective health and safety solutions. Since this expansion, he has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies and government organizations as their Occupational Medical Consultant.

With over 20 years in medicine, Anne’s experience encompasses the full spectrum of Occupational Health Services. She has assisted clients in addressing Occupational Health and Safety issues in order to ensure due diligence, minimize liability and assure compliance with governmental legislation.
